Peninsula State Park is between the towns of Fish Creek and Ephraim, which are both uniquely different north country towns built with travelers in mind.

Tahquamenon Falls State Park @ Paradise, MI - Photo: http://www.michigandnr.com/parksandtrails/Details....

Winter sites open in the Hemlock Campground near the Lower Tahquamenon Falls.

Roughly a 3 mile hike to the iconic Upper Tahquamenon Falls known as one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. It’s cascades can be viewed in a partially frozen formation during the wintertime.

My #1 Attraction:

Just a ½ mile hike from the Upper Falls viewing area is the local Tahquamenon Falls Brewery & Pub. A great place to warm up, grab some fried fish and a Michigan micro brew! (See the webpage: http://www.tahquamenonfallsbrewery.com/)

Sibley State Park @ New London, MN - Photo: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g433...

True North Basecamp @ Ironton, MN - Photo: http://mnbiketrailnavigator.blogspot.com/2016/02/w...

Lakeside cabins (designed after old mining huts) and camping.

A beautiful area for winter fun! Located 140 miles NW of the Minneapolis area, True North offers both camping and small cabin amenities. This property is right on the lakes created from former mining pits that were abandoned over 30 years ago. Since the times these lands were mined, they have been cared for and developed into a top Minnesota outdoor paradise.

My #1 Attraction:

Over 20 miles of high quality International Mountain Bicycling Association certified trails for Fat Biking all winter long!

HAPPY CAMPING!
